What is the right dog breed for me?

I am getting a dog for christmas!
I want a dog that stays small, doesn’t shed a lot, lap dog, loves cuddling, loves walks and loves playing. What is the right dog for me? Thank you.

To the people who aren’t answering their question properly, there is such a dog. It’s called a Yorkshire Terrier, better known as the Yorkie. Everyone has their judge of Dogs, she may want a small one while you like a different dog, no need to judge. Like I said, a Yorkie would be best for you. Please dear god avoid anyone saying they have “toy” “teacup” or “miniature” yorkies. They’re unhealthy and poorly bred. I won’ t go as far as other Y!A members to say they’re dirt or crap, because no dog deserves to be called dirt or crap because of how they’re bred.

I agree very much with what DS said about designer dogs. Avoid them, they come from lines of bad breeding and puppy mills. Also, try to avoid pet stores please, the Puppies in pet stores are over priced and are known to die as puppies or earlier than average. It’s a sad thing to lose a dog at such a young age. I’d say the best place you will find a dog, is a shelter, or a breeder. A shelter wouldn’t give you a puppy that they know is not healthy.
